Creative Synergy – “interactions amongst team members where the collective creative results are greater than the sum of their individual efforts”.
This couldn’t be more accurate in describing our group of artists. It doesn’t mean that every time we paint together magic happens and we make perfect paintings, in fact if anyone struggles there is always someone who is there to offer constructive criticism, ideas, helpful suggestions, or just a friendly word of encouragement. Creating together brings energy, inspiration, a positive view and a camaraderie that cannot be achieved while painting alone in our studios.
Other words to describe synergy are partnership, cooperation, kinship, and teamwork. These are also words we can identify with in our group because when we create together or prepare for a show, all of these pieces become part of our art making.
