Sharron Schoenfeld is a Saskatchewan-based visual artist whose work captures the rich landscapes and diverse beauty of her home province. Born in Saskatoon in 1958, Sharron draws inspiration from the natural surroundings of the Saskatoon area and the peaceful northern lake country, infusing her art with a deep sense of place and personal connection.
Her artistic practice spans a wide range of subjects—from birds and cityscapes to grasslands, shorelines, foliage, water, and still life—reflecting her curiosity and love for the natural world. Sharron’s work is marked by versatility, both in theme and technique. She works across various mediums, including acrylics, mixed media, pencil, pen, and ink, allowing her to explore different textures and moods in her pieces.
In 2016, she earned a Certificate of Art and Design from the University of Saskatchewan, an experience that deepened her technical skills and expanded her creative vision. Her ongoing education includes specialized studies in Relief Printmaking, Munsell Colour Theory, and Abstracting the Landscape, with mentorship from respected artists such as George Glen, Patrick Bulas, Susan Woolgar, Jean Pederson, Bobbi Clackson-Walker, Amy Dryer, and Craig Berry.
After a successful career in banking, Sharron shifted her focus to art full-time, pursuing her passion with dedication and enthusiasm.
