To start of the new year, three of the group members (Valerie Borycki, Val Miles and Lorraine Khachatourians) will be participating in a group show at Wanuskewin Heritage Park, entitled ‘Wanuskewin en Plein Air’. In June and September last year, a group of artists spent two days painting and drawing along the riverbank at the Park. Our group organizer, Bobbi Clackson-Walker, has arranged for us to show the works we did as a result of those days. On a clear and sunny day, with not much wind, it is very beautiful at the park, so if you have the time, go out and see it during this special time of year. Here is the information:
‘Wanuskewin en Plein Air’ Art Exhibition and Sale
January 6th to 31st, 2014 at Wanuskewin Heritage Park
Monday – Friday, 9 am – 4:30 pm, Saturday 11 am – 3 pm, closed Sunday
In 2013 artists Anne McElroy, Bobbi Clackson-Walker, Brett Schiissler, Celeste Delahey, Dianne Allen, Dianne Schiissler, Gloria Wingerter, Karen Stobbe, Lorraine Khachatourians, Louise Roy, Marie Kemmer, Marina Melchoirre, Paige Mortensen, Patricia Clarke, Tim Fahl, Val Miles, Valerie Borycki, Valerie Poulin, and Wendy Pahl spent two days in the Wanuskewin landscape creating a response to the environment. This exhibition is the visual journal of their experience.
