Paige Mortensen, a member of our group, portrays the rich textures of Saskatchewan through a process called watercolour batik. The images are built up using several layers of wax and watercolour. Once completed the wax is ironed off revealing the finished piece.
Handmade House is featuring her work in their Guest Artist space for the months of August and September 2016. Handmade House is at 710 Broadway Avenue in Saskatoon and they are open Monday – Saturday 10 am to 5:30 pm.
