On Monday October 24, we will be having a workshop on making Artists’ Trading Cards.
Spend a day with the Artists’ Workshop learning about and making your own Artists’ Trading Cards—miniature works of art the size of standard playing cards. At the end of the day everyone who wishes to will have the chance to trade cards, so you can go home with a variety of cards by your fellow artists.
The workshop will be led by Kathryn Green, who regularly goes on card-making binges and has hundreds of cards to show for it. Her focus will be on collage, but you will have time to work on cards using other media if you prefer.
We will supply: lots of collage materials and the base cards.
You need to bring: a pair of scissors and a glue stick and/or acrylic medium or gel to adhere the collage materials; plus any additional media you’d like to use (e.g., pencil crayons, watercolour or acrylic paint, oil pastels, markers) and your own collage material, if you wish. Also, bring a plastic cloth to cover your table.
Date: Monday October 24, 2016
Time: 10 am to 4 pm, with a break for lunch (bring your own, or you can buy lunch on Broadway).
Location: Grace Westminster Church Auditorium, 505 10th St East.
Fee: $40 (cash or cheque please)
